Anger is a powerful emotion that can either build or destroy relationships. In this episode, we explore the different ways people express anger and how it impacts their lives. FACTS ABOUT ANGER: DID YOU KNOW?

·      Women lose their temper 3 times a week.   While men on aver. lose their temper 6 times per week.

·      Women get angry more often at people.

·      Men get angry more often at things. (flat tire/ a computer, smart phone, mechanical problem)

·      Women are more verbal with their anger. Men are more physical with their anger. Men are protectors.

·      Single adults express anger twice as often as married adults!

·      The place you are most likely to express anger is AT HOME.

·      We get angry more often & more intensely with those we love than towards strangers.

·      Dr. S.I. McMillian has identified 51 illnesses that can be directly linked to anger.

It’s important to Note: ANGER is not always wrong but Uncontrolled anger is!

The Bible has a lot to say about anger, specifically in the Book of Proverbs.

Context of Proverbs: Written by the wisest man who ever lived. Story of King Soloman – succeeded King David, asked God for wisdom to lead God’s people or WISDOM IN RELATIONSHIPS!

·      Proverbs 25:28 “If you cannot control your anger you are as helpless as a city without walls, open to attack.” (TEV)

·      Proverbs 12:16 “A fool is quick-tempered, but a wise person stays calm when insulted.” (NLT)

·      Proverbs 16:32It is better to be patient than powerful; it is better to have self-control than to conquer a city.” (NLT)
