When we look around, it’s clear that our world needs men who are built by God. In today’s episode Pastor Stephen teaches us a clear path seen in scripture of how God builds men, from his session at the Forged Men’s Conference at Legacy Church.
“No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—
it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living
for those who are trained in this way.”
God has to do something in you before He can do something through you.
How God Builds Men:
God changes our perspective through The Word of God
Exodus 20:1(NLT) "Then God gave the people all these instructions: “I am the Lord your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt, the place of your slavery.
Next God calls us to The People of God.
Exodus 34:29-30 (NLT) "When Moses came down Mount Sinai carrying the two stone tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant, he wasn’t aware that his face had become radiant because he had spoken to the Lord. So when Aaron and the people of Israel saw the radiance of Moses’ face, they were afraid to come near him."
3. We must be led by The Spirit of God.
Exodus 13:21 (NLT) "The Lord went ahead of them. He guided them during the day with a pillar of cloud, and he provided light at night with a pillar of fire. This allowed them to travel by day or by night."
3 things to repeat: (put your palms up as a sign of surrender):
God, I will heed your Word.
God, I will serve your People.
God, I will follow your Spirit.
