In today’s episode, Pastor Stephen discusses the issues plaguing public education, such as the sexualization of children, the war against parents for control of the education of their children, and the increasingly contentious debates surrounding transgender issues, DEI, and the role of government in enforcing these ideals. We will explore the negative impact of these trends on society and how they are in contrast to the biblical values of parenting and education. We also look at what God has to say on the matter, and discuss the need for a strong partnership between the church and families to provide a biblical foundation for our youth.

Two Worldviews Collide:
Secular Humanist Worldview: People are born good, Sin is caused by external forces and the individual can set themselves free.
Biblical Worldview: People are born sinful, sin originates in the human heart and only Christ can set you free.
Context of Babylonian Exile:
1. God’s people drifted.
2. God’s people refused to repent. To return to Him.
3. Babylon conquered them.
The Strategy of the Culture War
1. Culture targets the young.
2. Culture creates a new language, learning and laws.
Process of Secular Indoctrination
1. Faith in God is replaced by faith in reason.
Proverbs 14:12 There is a way that seems right to a man,
But its end is the way of death.
Proverbs 9:10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”
2. The family is then replaced by the society.
3. The subjective replaces the objective.
4. Distinctions are deconstructed and eliminated.
The Public Education System is designed to indoctrinate students in racism, sexism, narcissism, presentism, safetism, scientism, environmentalism, moral relativism, globalism and ultimately socialism through activism.
3. Culture enforces a new identity.
Secular Indoctrination creates radical activists.
3 Guiding Biblical Principles for Parents
1. Parents must think and act generationally.
Judges 2:10-11 “After that whole generation had been gathered to their fathers, another generation grew up who knew neither the Lord nor what He had done for Israel. Then the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the Lord and served the Baals.”
2. Parents must model a genuine faith to their children.
3. Parents must take responsibility for their children. Do not delegate to anyone who doesn’t love God.
Proverbs 22:6 Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.
To train: chanak (khaw-nak'); to initiate, dedicate, or train.
Training from Proverbs
1. Train them to manage money. (Prov. 3:9-10)
2. Train them to carefully select friends. (Prov. 13:20)
3. Train them to watch their words. (Prov. 4:24)
4. Train them to be responsible. (Prov. 6:6-8)
5. Train them to guard their minds. (Prov. 23:7)
6. Train them to be generous. (Prov. 11: 25)
7. Train them to fear God. (Prov. 1:7)
Advice for Parents with Children in Public Schools
1. Get them out.
2. Get involved.
3. Get in Church.
