Five Principles of Godly Fatherhood
1. Model Your Faith
Deuteronomy 6:6-7 (NIV): "These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."
2. Lead with Authority
Joshua 24:15 (NIV) "But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord."
3. Protect and Provide
1 Timothy 5:8 (NIV) "Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever."
4. Discipline with Justice
Hebrews 12:11 (NIV): "No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it."
5. Leave a Legacy
Proverbs 13:22 (NIV) "A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children, but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous."
